MIRCOM FA-1008KADS Fire Alarm Control Unit
The MIRCOM FA-1008KADS Fire Alarm Control Unit is a highly flexible, microprocessor-based system designed for easy installation and user configuration. Featuring a fully configurable front panel with push buttons and DIP switches, the FA-1008KADS allows users to easily customize the system to meet their specific fire protection needs.
This unit is built around the MCC-1024-6ADS Main Chassis, which is housed in the UB-1024DS back box with a DOX-1024DS door. The MCC-1024-6ADS Main Chassis comes with 8 Class B (Style B) initiating circuits, which can be configured as 4 Class A (Style D) circuits for added versatility. The system can be expanded to support up to 24 Class B circuits or 12 Class A circuits with the addition of the DM-1008A Initiating Circuit Module.
In addition to initiating circuits, the MIRCOM FA-1008KADS includes 4 Class A/B (Style Z/Y) indicating circuits, each rated at 1.7 Amps, providing powerful notification capabilities. It also features a 6 Amp power supply, which powers the system and supports two 4-wire resettable regulated smoke power supplies (24 VDC, 200mA maximum each), ensuring reliable operation of connected devices.
The MIRCOM FA-1008KADS is designed for flexibility, with space for up to 3 adder modules—including two SGM-1004A Signal Modules or two RM-1008A Relay Modules—to meet the needs of larger systems. The back box accommodates up to 18 AH Gel-Cell batteries, providing ample backup power for the system.
