The PointWatch™ Infrared Gas Detector Model PIR9400 is designed for the continuous monitoring of methane gas concentrations within a 0-100% LFL range. It outputs a standard 4-20 mA signal correlating to gas levels. With explosion-proof ratings, it’s suited for both indoor and outdoor environments, performing reliably under conditions where other detectors might fail, such as in the presence of silicone or catalytic poisons, and even in oxygen-free or high-background gas scenarios. It is compatible with various Det-Tronics controllers and certified for Class 1, Division 1 and 2, and Zone 1 hazardous areas.
